Ingreda Group

Who we are inviting

Ingreda is building its partner network. Before the catalogue opens, this is what we ask of each kind of company that wants to answer a request — and what you get because we ask it.

What to expect from Ingreda

One request, not ten emails

You describe the ingredient once: specification, quantity, destination, Incoterm and timeline. That same description reaches every relevant supplier. Nobody asks you to repeat it.

Offers you can actually compare

Offers arrive in the same structure — price, origin, lead time, payment terms, certifications. Comparing stops being an exercise in translating between PDF layouts.

Documents before you commit

CoA, technical data sheet, certificates and registrations are attached to the offer. You read them before you accept, not after the container has sailed.

One thread from offer to delivery

Award, order, dispatch, customs and receipt stay in the same record. Each side confirms only what it can actually witness: the supplier dispatches, you confirm it arrived.

No exclusivity, no cost to list

A supplier on Ingreda keeps selling through every channel they already have. We do not own the relationship; we are where it starts.

When we cannot help, we say so

If nobody in the network can serve your requirement, that is the answer you get. We would rather tell you no than cost you three weeks.

Ingredient supply

Manufacturers

Plants that make what they sell. Acids, starches, hydrocolloids, proteins, vitamins, surfactants, excipients, additives — from single-product plants to multi-line sites. Size is not what we screen on; traceability back to the production line is.

What we ask

  • Current technical data sheet and CoA for the grade being offered, not a generic template
  • A quality-system certification appropriate to the end use — food, pharmaceutical or cosmetic
  • Real monthly capacity and an honest lead time, including the lead time when the line is full
  • A named person with an email who answers, not a sales inbox

What you get

When the company quoting is the company manufacturing, the price does not carry an invisible middleman and a technical question does not take three days to come back from somewhere else.

Distributors

Distributors and importers holding their own inventory or a formal manufacturer appointment. We are particularly interested in those covering volumes a plant will not take: part-loads, mixed line items, delivery from local stock.

What we ask

  • Chain of custody back to the originating manufacturer, named
  • Whether the material is in stock or made to order — said up front, not afterwards
  • Storage conditions and remaining shelf life on the lot being offered
  • Manufacturer authorisation where a brand is being represented

What you get

Smaller quantities without waiting for a production run, and a single shipment when your formulation needs six ingredients from five origins.

Movement and storage

Logistics

Freight forwarders and operators with real industrial cargo experience: full and part container loads, temperature-controlled, dangerous goods, liquid and dry bulk. Lanes into and out of the Caribbean, Central America, North America and Europe.

What we ask

  • All-in quoting — destination charges are named before the box is booked, not after
  • Tracking that updates without having to be asked
  • Current licences for what is actually being moved, dangerous goods included
  • A plan for when the vessel slips, not an email once it already has

What you get

A landed cost that resembles the budget, and knowing where your cargo is without phoning anyone.

Customs

Customs brokers who classify ingredients for a living — which is where the money is lost. Tariff headings for chemicals, food additives and pharmaceutical excipients; sanitary permits, product registrations and free trade agreements.

What we ask

  • A reasoned tariff classification, with the heading and why
  • The list of prior permits given at the start, not at the port
  • Duty estimated before shipment, so the landed cost is a real number
  • Immediate notice when a requirement changes

What you get

Fewer containers held for a document that could have been requested six weeks earlier, and a landed cost worked out before you buy.

Warehousing & 3PL

Warehouses and 3PL operators with facilities suited to ingredients: controlled environment, allergen separation, pest control, dangerous goods segregation, and the ability to repack or break bulk.

What we ask

  • Storage certification appropriate to what the material is used for
  • Inventory tracked by lot with expiry, not only by product code
  • Temperature records available on request
  • Handling and storage rates quoted separately

What you get

The option to import a full lot and draw against it, rather than financing a year of inventory the day it lands.

Assurance and verification

Laboratories

Independent testing laboratories: physicochemical, microbiological, contaminants, pesticide residues, heavy metals, allergens, stability. Independent is the operative word — we do not test at the supplier's own lab.

What we ask

  • ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation with a scope covering the test being asked for
  • Stated turnaround times per test type, and met
  • Reports that cite the method, not only the result
  • Willingness to test a retained sample when buyer and supplier disagree

What you get

A third party who can settle a specification dispute without the outcome depending on whose word you trust more.

Insurance

Cargo and credit insurers and brokers: marine and air transit, average, contamination, and trade credit cover for terms business.

What we ask

  • Exclusions stated in the quote, not discovered at the claim
  • Cover that matches the Incoterm actually agreed
  • A stated settlement timeline
  • A claims contact who exists before there is a claim

What you get

That damage in transit becomes a process rather than the end of a trading relationship.

Capital and risk

Banking

Banks and institutions with genuine trade finance product: letters of credit, documentary collection, confirmation, import financing and invoice discounting. With appetite for mid-sized transactions, which is where the gap usually is.

What we ask

  • Stated decision timelines, and kept
  • Documentary requirements given at the start of the file
  • Transparent pricing: rate, fees and charges shown separately
  • Ability to operate in the corridors the network actually uses

What you get

That an order does not collapse because payment at sight was not workable for either side.

Credit Analysis

Commercial information and risk analysis agencies with Latin America and Caribbean coverage — the region where reports are thinnest and most needed.

What we ask

  • Sources cited and the date of the data
  • Methodology explained, not just a rating
  • Honest coverage: saying there is no information is a valid result
  • An update when a company's position materially changes

What you get

Being able to set payment terms for a new counterparty on something more than an impression.

Systems

Technology

Software and data providers that integrate with the actual work: ERP, quality management, regulatory databases, traceability, commodity price signals.

What we ask

  • Documented integration, not a demo
  • Data with provenance and a date
  • Pricing that does not require a sales call to discover
  • A commitment not to resell what they see on the network

What you get

That what happens on Ingreda reaches the systems your team already works in.

Does your company match one of these?

We are inviting selectively while the network is built. Applying takes a few minutes and a person reads it.
